Self confidence is at the core of every success and achievement we experience in life. That little voice that speaks to you and says ‘I’ve got this’ or ‘I can do that’ is way more powerful than we think. It allows us to see things through and action even the most menial day to day tasks.
So what exactly are affirmations?
An affirmation is defined as ‘the action or process of affirming something’. It’s the idea that by continuously telling ourselves both the things that are and the things that we wish to be, we instil confidence in a deep way that can transform our outlook on life and the way we approach our goals.
Most of the time you won’t even realise that you’re affirming every little task you undertake on a daily basis, it’s just a natural cognitive response to your surroundings. You need encouragement and belief everyday, and your biggest fan is you.
So whether it’s internally or you actively write some down and speak them aloud, make sure you’re building yourself up constantly as it leads to momentum in reaching our goals.
